While quiet music plays in the background, you will drift off into a peaceful sleep while your surgeon creates the new you. Upon awaking, you will be taken to the recovery room where you will rest for a while in a comfortable recliner chair covered by warm blankets. After having relaxed on our couches, your family will be able to join you as you get ready to leave after just an hour or two. You should remember this process as a pleasant visit rather than a hospitalization.

Safety is our utmost concern. The facility is certified at the highest level by the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities. This means that the operating room meets all of the strictest standards for safety, equipment and personnel that must be met in any hospital. Our facility is one of the very few in Massachusetts that has met these standards. All sedation is administered by a board certified anesthesiologist on staff at the Newton Wellesley Hospital.

This facility provides the highest level of technology, much of it beyond what is available in many hospitals because we are specific to plastic surgery. Lasers, digital photography and imaging programs, Intense Pulse Light Machines, liposuction equipment and breast implants are standard in our facility as well as extensive monitoring equipment and back up power supplies for the entire operating room. The prep area contains the newest style automatic autoclave and sterilizing equipment. The recovery room is equipped with extensive equipment to keep you both comfortable and safe. A bathroom is attached to the recovery room for your privacy.

With only one operating room and recovery room, you will be the sole focus of our attention. You may rest assured that both you and your family will be comfortable and well cared for during your brief stay.
